Frequency Converter

Swimming pool water passes through three different stages for cleaning, e.g. pool water circulation, backwash and rinsing.
Depending on friction loss and filter speed, different points have to be set.

For this purpose the pump can be conveniently directed to each of the operating points with the help of a frequency converter. During this process the motor speed is electronically adjusted.

Unnecessary loss of energy, e.g. caused by a shutoff valve, is avoided. The pump is always run at its normal and most economical operating point.

Additionally, the flow rate can be regulated, i.e. reduced by the frequency converter in case a public swimming pool is used below capacity or at night. In this manner, even more energy will be saved.
The BADU Eco Drive II frequency converter is ideally suitable for use with the BADU 90/25 - BADU 90/48, BADU Resort and BADU 93.

The frequency converter offers a wide range of control options, e.g. direct control with the pushbuttons, digital inputs to approach fixed speeds or external control via the 0-10 V or 4-20 mA interface. It can therefore be integrated into building automation systems.

Relay output functions (e.g. indicating operational readiness or motor overload), relay input functions (e.g. starting or stopping), PTC thermistor sensor evaluation and time functions round out its range of applications.
